Facilitation
The art of moving a group of people
The enhancement of a response of a neuron to a stimulus following prior stimulation – this facilitation definition is from Oxford Languages. We think of facilitation as making it easier to work through an existing or potential problem and get the best possible outcome.
The funny, and somewhat unexpected, thing is that our brains come up with the most innovative, most sustainable, most engaging solutions when we don’t talk or think about the problem. Surprising, but true!
Check out this short blog post from Psychology Today by Dr David Rock. The game that Dr Rock describes is the tip of the iceberg for applying this research.
At SafetyJourney, we have applied this and other research to how we facilitate forums with extraordinary results. Bottom line – this means we do things differently, VERY differently!
Whether you have your own material that needs to be delivered, or you need us to design a facilitated forum for you, we can apply real-life research to get the best out of your people. Not only will they do their best work, they will have fun!
Our clients’ case studies speak for themselves. Give us a call or e-mail to hear about the success of our “Out of the Box!” Workshops.
